WSW's studio based Arts-In-Education program brings students of all ages from local public schools to the workshop to work on long term projects alongside their teachers and WSW teaching artists. The program provides unusual and enriching art experiences for area youth, in-service training for their teachers, and teaching opportunities for artist educators in the region.

WSW has had an art-in-educarion partnership with Kingston City Schools for eleven years. This program includes components for a wide range of students, from at-risk preschoolers to high school students seriously considering professions in the visual arts. In the fall of 1996 WSW expanded the art-in-education program to include the New Paltz Central School District. Over 125 students now participate in the art-in-education program each year.
