Bio:
Alan Messer is an artist of natural history: its seascapes, landscapes, and wildlife. His artworks and illustrations appear in books, field guides, and periodicals. He has lectured at the New York Historical Society and the American Museum of Natural History. He is a former president of the Linnaean Society of New York. His artworks for the Second Atlas of Breeding Birds of New York State may be seen until January 2010 at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute in Jamestown NY.
