George Reavey (1907-1976)
English Surrealist poet. Farewell to Faust. A poem conveyed by
Christopher Marlowe's ghost who appeared to George Reavey's wife
as she was gardening. When she wrote the poem down she was astounded to see
the handwriting was not hers, but rather appeared to be Marlowe's.
This poem is printed on sheer tissue, dedicated to George Reavey, and is
enclosed in a Reavey poem that in turn is dedicated to Marlowe and
silk-screened in colors on heavy gray stock. |
