Leslie Jimenez – Dominican Republic Leslie Jimenez was born in Santo Domingo, The Dominican Republic, in 1984. A student of sculpture, painting, and drawing at the National School of Visual Arts in Santo Domingo, Leslie Jimenez also studied conservation and restoration of works on paper and documents, at the National Archive of The Dominican Republic and the Institute of History in La Habana Cuba. Leslie Jimenez studied fine arts and Illustration at Altos de Chavon School of Design, where she graduated with honors. She earned a Fine Arts degree at Parsons the New School for Design in New York. Previously, from 2007-2009, Leslie Jimenez was the head of the conservation and restoration department at the National Archive in the Dominican Republic. Her work has been exhibited at several galleries and institutions in New York City and the Dominican Republic. Leslie lives and works in New York. |
