The Kama Sutra of Vatsyayana is a classic Indian text that dates from the third centry A.D., on the skills and art of sex and love. The translation used is by Sir Richard Burton and F.F. Arbuthnot, 1963.

Similar in nature to Brainard Carey's Book of Job, the Kama Sutra is being copied onto large sheets of paper, along with illuminations to create a single tome, or contemporary illuminated manuscript.

The Kama Sutra studies, assembled on this web page are published by Colophon Page. This project will change and grow on a weekly basis, as the illuminations and text are completed. This project was begun on January 1st, 1998, and will take approximately 15 months until the book is complete.

The study drawings are individually for sale @$100 per page. They are hand drawn with water based pigment ink on black Canford paper (A4).
