| Fine men's robe cloth with a subtle dark blue and white warp striped background, in excellent condition. Neatly woven cloth with a good variety of colour and strip width in the pairs of weft faced blocks - most of these frame pairs of narrow weft faced stripes but supplementary weft float motifs including human figures are scattered at irregular intervals. Subtle white weft stripes in the background pattern echo the narrow weft faced stripes. Overall a subtle and complex design from a master weaver in pleasing colours. Age circa 1930-50.
