WSW's internship program offers young women artists a unique opportunity to expand their skills and knowledge, and to benefit from close contact with the workshop's artistic community. Ten positions are available each year, during fall, spring, and summer sessions. Interns work alongside the artist staff, learning special techniques in papermaking, printmaking photography and arts administration. As schedules permit, they also work with visiting artists or as assistants in workshops. After hours, interns have free access to all studios to work on their own projects. The program offers all interns free housing. Fall and spring interns receive a small stipend, while summer interns are able to enroll in four week long Summer Arts Institute workshops in lieu of a stipend. Application deadlines are : July 1st for fall internships, November 15th for spring internship and March 1st for summer internship.
